What an electric evening MVLE had for our 2nd annual Farm to Table dinner on April 28! Over 85 guests dined with us for amazing food, great wine, and even better conversation! Thank you to everyone that was able to join us for this year’s dinner. The food was outstanding, but more importantly the community was engaged and excited to learn more about MVLE’s mission.
A huge thank you to you to our Chef and restaurant partners for preparing a tasty six-course meal. Last year, MVLE launched the Farm to Table dinner to introduce our new hydroponic garden, and other employment initiatives. This year we were excited to feature lettuce from our own hydroponic garden in the meal. One of our MVLE individuals beamed with pride when serving the meal, sharing “I grew that lettuce!”. That is the reason we work hard every day- working to find new employment opportunities and partnerships to support our mission.
Proceeds from the event will support MVLE’s new Innovation Labs! The Innovation Labs will provide opportunities to develop new avenues for employment and community engagement for individuals with disabilities and other barriers to economic independence. The Innovation Labs includes our hydroponic garden, performing arts program, and culinary arts training.
