MVLE announces two new grant awards!
MVLE was awarded an Operating Support grant from ARTSFAIRFAX. This grant will provide funds to support the continued growth of our MVLE Moves program. the success of our weekly movement classes quickly encouraged us to create an additional performance outlet for our clients.

Now in its third season, the ensemble of 25 performers create original stage productions which tour to local venues such as the Key Center School, Vienna Community Center, Kennedy Center’s Millennium Stage, Fort Belvoir USO  Warrior & Family Center, and George Mason’s Hylton Center for the Performing Arts.

Join the MVLE Moves cast for our next performance at Fall for Fairfax KidsFest on Saturday, October 5 at 2:00pm.

MVLE is excited to announce our newest grant award from the Wells Fargo Foundation.

This grant will support MVLE’s Pathways to Employment Curriculum Program- an enhanced employment curriculum program for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This program will build upon the concepts of Discovery, learning soft skills necessary to employment, and utilizing customized employment techniques to assist individuals with disabilities to move into competitive integrated employment.

Over the last year MVLE developed and implemented a structured, part-time,  Employment Curriculum Program, geared towards 12 individuals and later expanded to 24 individuals, to assist them with learning the soft skills necessary to be employed.  Grant funds will be used to expand this program.

Thank you ARTSFAIRFAX and Wells Fargo Foundation for your continued support!
