Join us for a behind the scenes look at the MVLE Move’s 2020 original production, “It’s About Us”. Meet the cast members and experience MVLE’s inclusive performing arts program.
MVLE’s mission is to create futures one person at a time for people with disabilities through employment and support services. Serving individuals from across Northern Virginia, MVLE provides opportunities that allow people living with disabilities to develop to their fullest potential by participating in community life through meaningful work and support services.
In 2015, MVLE partnered with BodyWise Dance to create the MVLE Moves program which provides weekly movement arts classes for individuals served through MVLE’s programs.
The success of these classes encouraged us to create the MVLE Performance Group, additional performance outlet for self-selected participants. In the 2016-2017 season, the newly formed ensemble met once a week to create its first original production, Everyday Oz. Now in our fourth season, we see that this inclusive performing arts program has the potential to radically alter the ways people with disabilities contribute to their community.
Open House dates on January 21 and February 18, 11:00am-12:00pm.
